PayID FAQs
Eligible accounts and payments only – sending and receiving account must be capable of processing faster payments. Yes, and you can use your ABN as your PayID while using your mobile number as your personal PayID. Contact the bank where you set up your PayID and ask to put it into a ‘transfer state’. Your PayID is a unique identifier that can only be registered at one bank and linked to one eligible account. You should never share your personal information with people you don’t trust. PayID lets you receive money in your online banking fast, using a piece of information such as a mobile number or email address. You should check the business or organisation you’re paying is legitimate before you send a payment, regardless of the payment method you choose to use.
